no such array

I will be giving the premiere performances of a new work (and system for live performance) on 13 and 14 November at Röda Sten in Göteborg as part of a mini festival organised by Levande Musik (alongside performances by Ida Lundén and Nina de Heney).

The piece is called ‘No Such Array’ and will be presented via a portable, battery-powered speaker orchestra that I have been slowly putting together over the last year and a half.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.

Many thanks to them for making this work possible and to Levande Musik for the kind invitation to present the work in Göteborg. ‘No Such Array’ was originally commissioned by Lawrence English at ROOM40 for Open Frame 2020 (cancelled due to Covid chaos).

Chantler/Noble/Wright Trio in Stockholm

The trio with Steve Noble (drums) and Seymour Wright (alto saxophone) will be doing a short residency in Stockholm in mid-january including this concert as part of FRIM’s series at Fylkingen.  We’ll then head to Norway for concerts in Oslo and Trondheim before coming back to Stockholm for two day’s recording at Atlantis Studion.
